
Dr. Grant McMillian graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. He joined San Jose Beauclerc Animal Hospital and Deerwood Animal Clinic in 1999 and has been busy here ever since. His primary interests are gastroenterology, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric care. He remains very passionate about improving the pet and owner bond.
He has been married to his wife, Kaylin, who is a full time home schooling mother. Together they have 3 children: Ashley, Holden, and Kinsley. Their family also shares the home with 3 dogs and 2 cats. Dr. McMillian enjoys spending time with his family. On his off Saturdays, Dr. Mac can be found with his wife cheering on their kids’ soccer teams. He is also very active in his church and teaches a high school boys Sunday school class. He and his family also attend Jaguar games whenever possible.
Dr. McMillian is a member of the JVMS, FVMA, and AVMA. He has served as president of the JVMS from 2011-2012. He is currently the local representative to the FVMA political action team. His involvement with local and state veterinary medicine has earned him 2 FVMA Gold Star Awards
