Dr. Grant McMillian graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. He joined San Jose Beauclerc Animal Hospital and Deerwood Animal Clinic in 1999 and has been busy here ever since. His primary interests are gastroenterology, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric care. He remains very passionate about improving the pet and owner bond.

He has been married to his wife, Kaylin, who is a full time home schooling mother. Together they have 3 children: Ashley, Holden, and Kinsley. Their family also shares the home with 3 dogs and 2 cats. Dr. McMillian enjoys spending time with his family. On his off Saturdays, Dr. Mac can be found with his wife cheering on their kids’ soccer teams. He is also very active in his church and teaches a high school boys Sunday school class. He and his family also attend Jaguar games whenever possible.

Dr. McMillian is a member of the JVMS, FVMA, and AVMA. He has served as president of the JVMS from 2011-2012. He is currently the local representative to the FVMA political action team. His involvement with local and state veterinary medicine has earned him 2 FVMA Gold Star Awards

Hi! I’m Dr. Holly Pollack. I go by Dr. Holly because it feels more personable to me. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families on a 1 st name basis. I was born in N.M and lived most of my life in Tx. I attended OSU for undergrad and vet school. After graduation in 2023 I move to Jacksonville where I met my SJBAH family. I practiced with Dr. Nash and Dr. McMillian for 2 years before moving back to the Midwest where I practiced and owned a Vet hospital for 10 years in St. Louis MO. Then 1 day my husband and I and 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, some fish, a lizard and my parents all packed up and moved to the “Land of Milk and Honey” (AKA Florida). We landed in Amelia Island in 2013 where I practiced for 10 years before branching out and returning to my SJBAH family. I am excited to be part of this amazing team!

Dr. Johns is a Jacksonville native and spent her childhood growing up in the mandarin area. She graduated from UF with an animal biology degree in spring 2017, then graduated veterinary school in spring 2022 from St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies! Dr. johns has been practicing mixed animal medicine in rural southeast Georgia for the last two years, seeing everything from dogs and cats to horses and goats! She recently decided to move back to her home town and practice small animal medicine with her local community she loves so much.

While you may not encounter her during your visits, rest assured she’s tirelessly orchestrating behind the scenes to ensure every interaction at our clinic is nothing short of exceptional.

Amber has been in the veterinary field for over 25 years. She started with SJBAH in the summer of 2002 and gained her first job as an animal care technician/ receptionist. From day one, her passion for animal welfare ignited a career trajectory she couldn’t resist. Witnessing patient transition from playful puppies/kittens to wise seniors over the years fills her with gratification.

Amber treasures every instance shared among our diverse community of both two and four legged companions. She considers herself fortunate to call SJBAH her professional home, cherishing the opportunity to contribute to the health and happiness of countless beloved pets.

Beyond the clinic walls, Amber finds solace in the company of her wonderful husband and daughter. An admirer of the great outdoors, she immerses herself in various adventures, whether it entails scenic hiking trails by horseback, exploring serene waters on a kayak, or camping beneath the night sky.

I began my adventure of working in Animal Medicine in 2006 from Beaufort, South Carolina.

My passion stemmed from having lost my first kitty from epilepsy. From that moment on I knew my heart belonged to helping and healing animals.

My husband and I have 3 very spoiled kitties and 1 very spoiled 2 legged son and hope to expand our crew in the future!

Hi… recently joined San Jose Beauclerc Animal Hospital and have enjoyed every minute. It’s wonderful to be a part of a team so passionate about their patients and clients.I have been in the vet field for 3 years as both a receptionist and tech, and have truly found my calling. I am grateful for the opportunity to care for your pets every day.I have 3 cats: Minerva, Fish, and Marceline, and a dog named Groot. My partner and I look forward to a future with many more fur babies!

I recently moved to Jacksonville after graduation from Boston University in 2023 where I studied marine science. I was born in Georgia and have always loved all animals. I plan to attend vet school and hopefully work with aquatic animals.

Paulina has been a veterinary technician for 1 ½ years. She translates for our amazing Spanish clients and ensures that you leave with a smile and your pet with a waggy tail. She loves ensuring that all pets go home happy and healthy. Paulina is a big cat lover and says she would do anything for all four of her cats. Paulina also has 3 dogs that she loves very much. Her favorite hobbies include cuddling with her babies dying her hair all types of fun colors.

Hi. I’m a native of Jacksonville, Florida. I graduated from Sandalwood High School and attended Florida State Community College.

I have been married for 24 years and have two beautiful daughters who attend University of North Florida.

My love of animals has drawn me to working at San Jose Beauclerc Animal Hospital and Deerwood Animal Clinic. I have never felt more welcomed and comfortable before than I do working with the wonderful employees and doctors here.

The road to my career working with animals started at the age of 13, when I moved from my home state of Texas to Louisiana to give my mom a hand at the Fair Grounds race track. While working alongside beautiful thoroughbreds, I then knew that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Since then, my family and I have had every pet from cats and dogs, to reptiles, fish, turtles, tarantulas, and parrots. I’ve worked and volunteered with raccoons, possums, turtles as well as dogs and cats. I love animals, and treat every pet as my own. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my rescue dog Barkley, and watching sports.

I was raised around animals ranging from dogs and cats, to exotics such as reptiles my entire life. I have always had love and compassion for animals and even dreamed of being in the veterinary field as a child. I feel blessed to be apart of this amazing team. I have been with SJBAH for over a year now, and each day I feel my bond with each pet parent and their fur-kids gets stronger. I look forward to more years to come!

I've always known that I wanted to work with animals from a very young age. I grew up always having family pets, and continued to have my own later on, and have always been very passionate about caring for them. I have been in veterinary medicine for over 10 years and I am grateful to be a new member of the San Jose Beauclerc Family. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. I live in Fruit Cove with my wonderful husband Greg, son Quinten, and and our 2 dogs Hawkeye and Phoebe.

Hi, its Leigh Ann and I’m back! I worked here at this Animal Hospital 21 years go! Hard to believe!

My husband and I moved to Orlando in 1997 with our kids. I have spent the last 21 years being a stay-at-home mom and enjoying raising our 2 wonderful kids. While Orlando was a lot of fun, we realized we wanted to move back to Jacksonville when the kids went to college. So that’s what we did. We are loving being back in Jacksonville. Being back at San Jose Beauclerc is great! I love the doctors and the staff.

My hobbies include running and working out. I love animals, so often you may see me walking one of my 2 dogs! I also have 2 cats (but they don’t like to walk on a leash 🙂 … and there is always room for more!

I was inspired to work in the veterinary field because I have always loved animals and caring for them. I love showing them lots of TLC. I have 2 cats of my own, Bossie and Tonyloc that I love very much. I take care of all the animals that come into the clinic just as if they were my own. I have 2 children, my daughter Sheriea and a son Anthony; as well as 6 grandchildren: Xavier, Ah’Mellen, Sarah, Solomon, Jathony, and Kaynen. They are my world.

The most rewarding things about my job are the clients and their pets. My co-workers and the doctors welcomed me with open arms and are like my 2nd family. I love helping and encouraging others in my time away from work.

Hello! For as long as I can remember I have always had a fascination with the animal kingdom.

After high school I became a mom and life took me in a different direction… mommy-hood.

I was 23 years old when I was given an opportunity to work with the racing greyhounds. I stayed in that industry until December of 2020, when greyhound racing in Florida was banned. But I knew I wanted to remain working with animals.

In March of 2021 I became an Animal Care Technician at San Jose Beauclerc Animal Clinic, and I love it!

I am fairly new to SJBAH as I started as an Animal Care Technician in 2022. Working here over the past year has been very educational in so many ways. You really do learn something new every day working here. I love my SJBAH family and all of the fur kids that I have the opportunity to care for.

My name is Ariel and I have been grooming for San Jose Beauclerc since 2021.

I started in the grooming industry about 10 years ago. Everyday that I get the opportunity to give "pup-cuts" is such a joy to me. I absolutely love helping pets look their best and even more so the smile that it brings to their parents.
